Proactiv 3 Step System

I received the Proactiv 3 step system to test from the Influenster VoxBox program. I was excited to give it a try for the 2nd time around. The 1st time I tried Proactiv was somewhere around 2001 and I was in my early twenties at the time. Then it did not work that great for me and sadly I have the same results this time around even with faster and gentler version. Below are the items included in the 3 step system along with a brief description of each from the Proactiv website.

Renew

This medicated Renewing Cleanser is made with new, exclusive micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide — featuring smaller, finer particles designed to quickly penetrate pores to start killing acne-causing bacteria on contact. Tiny exfoliating beads gently remove dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells to help keep pores from clogging.

Revitalize

This refreshing, alcohol-free toner helps remove impurities and excess oil so your skin looks and feels clean, soft and refreshed — not tight and dried out. Soothing botanical agents gently balance your skin tone.

Repair

The repairing treatment is a feather-light medicated lotion that gets deep into clogged pores faster but is designed to be gentler on the skin. It’s an oil-free formula that’s safe for your entire face.

Below is my experience with the 3 step system:

Pros

  • My skin did look refreshed for a few hours after use
  • I enjoyed the feel of the toner
  • My skin felt smoother
  • They offer 3 different systems ranging from $19.95-$29.95 for a 30 day supply
  • When you order you have access to skin care specialists 24/7/365
  • 60 day money back guarantee

Cons

  • The renewing cleaner was a tad bit too rough for my skin. I have been using the product faithfully twice a day for about 2 1/2 weeks and the sensitivity has not toned down. * If you have sensitive skin and are thinking about trying I would really start with one application then build up based upon how your skin reacts.
  • I prefer to pick up my skincare at an actual store vs online.
  • I broke out more over the past few weeks than I have in months.

Everyone’s skin is different and Proactiv may be effective for some but for me this is not the system. I prefer to stick with my tried and true dermatologist.

You can head over to www.proactiv.com to find out more about this product that has helped numerous of people with acne prone skin.
